TOUCAN tutorial (FULL)

It is time to share all my secrets. Here in e-book tutorial you can find 44+ pages filled with pictures and instructions. We will create a toucan bird from the first stitches to the brooch assembly.

In this step-by-step tutorial you will find out how to:

• Embroider the toucan bird
• Add volume to the eye of your bird
• Create satin ribbon elements to imitate feathers
• Assemble the brooch

For creating your brooch yo will need:

• embroidery hoop 10 cm or bigger
• cotton fabric
• embroidery needles (basic and sharp beading)
• scissors
• Pigma micron liner 0.05 in black
• embroidery/crafting tweezers
• small candle in aluminium mold
• acrylic paint and a thin brush
• embroidery thread (BLACK, DMC445, DMC 632, DMC996 as main colours + shades)
• one glass bead
• satin ribbon (black 30 cm, red and yellow 10 cm)
• thin black faux felt for back side (0.1)
• 250 gsm cardboard or watercolor paper for inner layer
• metal brooch pin
